Tunelet is built to respect your privacy. Here is exactly what we collect, why, and what we do with it.
Browser fingerprint. A hashed combination of your browser's canvas data, screen size, timezone, and user agent. This is used solely to enforce the daily free search limit. We do not store the raw data, only the hash. The hash is not intended to identify you personally.
Search history. When you search for a song on Tunelet, we store the mood or feeling you typed into the search bar, the song recommendation that was returned, and your fingerprint hash. This only refers to your activity within Tunelet, not any external browsing or search history. This is used to avoid recommending the same songs to you across sessions. Free users' history is stored for 7 days then deleted.
Analytics. We use privacy-first analytics (no cookies, no personal data). We track page views, search counts, and feature usage in aggregate. We cannot identify individual users from analytics data.
Your name. Your location. Your IP address (beyond what is temporarily used for rate limiting and immediately discarded). Cookies. Tracking pixels. Advertising data.
Sell data. Share data with third parties. Use your searches to train AI models. Show ads.
We process the minimal technical data described above in order to operate the service and prevent abuse. This processing is based on legitimate interest in maintaining the functionality and security of the service.
Reasonable technical measures are used to protect stored data and prevent unauthorized access.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, the "Last updated" date at the top of this page will be revised.
Email [email protected] to request deletion of all your data. We will comply within 7 days.
